Here's an extract from musicradar.com's 5-STAR REVIEW OF THE DUAL TERROR:
"Many guitarists have used the Tiny Terror successfully in a live situation since its release, but its single channel and lower output have been the stimulus of much chin-stroking among potential TT giggers. The Dual Terror solves this.
Size wise, it's still as portable as the original, but the 30-watt output means it's loud enough for most regular sized gigs, and the mere inclusion of the Fat channel (let alone the fact that it sounds awesome) seals the deal." TO READ THE FULL REVIEW CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW,

Orange Amplification's managing director, Damon Waller, will be keeping Orange enthusiasts worldwide updated with ‘tweets’ - short instant messages - from the forthcoming Frankfurt Music Show. Musikmesse 2009 opens next Wednesday April 1st but Damon will begin tweeting you from Frankfurt on Monday - if not before!
Following the launch of the groundbreaking TERROR BASS 500 at NAMM 09, Orange Amplification are launching a series of state-of-art bass speaker cabinets. In keeping with the ‘Tiny Terror’ concept, small is the new big, these new compact speakers, pound for pound, deliver more power and more volume than any other currently on the market.
The white finish has previously only been available for artists' special orders and is now being offered as a special limited edition for the duration of 2009 and will cease to be obtainable thereafter.
The reputation of the Orange Tiny Terror amp precedes it... award winning, best selling, innovative and used by the world’s foremost artists and producers alike. At Orange we realised that for the more discerning guitarists, something extra was needed and we are proud to announce the launch of the Tiny Terror Hard Wired Edition.
You can feel the rumble, tremor and quake.... but when you see the size of the new Orange Terror Bass you will find it hard to believe the sound that comes from this diminutive amp. Punching well above its weight, the new amp joins the famed ‘Orange Terror’ family, which has won the hearts of guitarists the world over.
Orange launched the Tiny Terror in 2006 and has already sold over 30,000 units, making it one of the most in-demand amps in the world. The concept of the Tiny Terror was simple: squeeze every drop of Orange’s unique signature tone into a lunch-box sized amp to create 15 watts of unmistakable Orange Class A Tone weighing only a few kilos - and at a price every guitarist can afford.
Orange devotees have already given an enthusiastic thumbs-up for the AD30HTC’s re-styled
front plate featuring larger classic-style knobs for each channel’s Master and Gain controls plus the classic Orange hieroglyphics on an orange and black horizontal bar background.
In 2008 Cage The Elephant enjoyed singles’ chart success and released an acclaimed debut album. Lead guitarist Lincoln Parish now explains how Orange amplifiers will feature on the next album:
“Back home at the music shop I go to I tried a Rocker 50 which is like a remake of the old Orange amps – and I loved it. So that’s one of my favourite amps now and I’m hoping to use it for some of my lead lines with just a single channel. And when we start recording our next album in our producer Jay Joyce’s studio I’d like to mix and match different Orange sounds by using a Rocker, Rockerverb and AD30 depending on the style of song that we’re recording.”
2008 has seen Orange endorsees, The Wombats, tour Australia (twice) America (twice) plus they have been one of the big draws on the UK summer festival circuit.
And as the band has built up a massive following, Murph’s Orange stack - an AD30HTC, two 2x12” cabs and a Crush15 for keyboards - has, in the guitarist’s own words, “become an integral part of the band’s sound”.
Featuring top Orange endorsee Jim Root, Slipknot’s much anticipated fourth studio album ‘All Hope Is Gone’ was released worldwide August 26th and has already topped the charts in the USA and Japan and has debuted in the UK at number 2. The record was written and recorded in the band's home state of Iowa and released by Roadrunner records following their previously critically acclaimed album ‘Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’. Jim uses a combination of the Orange Thunderverb 200 and Rockerverb heads through PPC412 HP cabs on the new record.
“Orange feel immensely proud, “says CEO Cliff Cooper, “that our Orange ‘Pics Only’
amplifier and cabinets are now on permanent display at NAMM’s beautiful Museum
of Making Music - a place that is dedicated to tracing and displaying musical instruments and associated sound equipment which have influenced the development and history of music.”
Kyle Falconer – singer and guitarist with Scottish indie-rockers The View – will now be using three AD30TC heads and 4x12 cabinets, each covered with custom-coloured tolex.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of vintage amps,” Adrian explains, “but I haven’t been so happy with an amp as I have with my AD30 which I’ve used for everything ever since I first got it about four years ago. There’s something about that amp… I can mess with it and really change the sound and the gain structure of it – but I can do so really simply.
In my extensive collection of about fifteen amps I’ve got a 1950s and a 1960s Fender Twin; an Ampeg Reverb; a 1950s Fender Tweed and some old AC30s. But the AD30 can produce all of those vintage sounds partly because I can drive it without going incredibly loud.”
“There are established tones which people recognize as being great - the Fender Twin, Vox AC30 and lately the Orange Tiny Terror you introduced me to which is the most marvellous thing since sliced bread.” Eddie Kramer.
Producer Eddie Kramer’s CV includes Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Mott The Hoople, Kiss and many others.
Recently, at Abbey Road studios he worked on some tracks with The Black Hand and found time to sit down with the band’s guitarist, Rob Chapman, and talk about that endlessly fascinating subject – amplified guitar sound.
You will soon be able to read all about the true story of Orange. A story collated from the extensive Orange photos and press cuttings archive spanning forty years; and then affirmed by many in-depth interviews with the man who founded the company and created the legend, CEO Cliff Cooper.
