2001: AD200B Mk 1…

The AD200B Mk 1 Introduced at Frankfurt 2001, this hand wired model directly follows on from the AD140B Bass – this means that the first AD200B Mk 1 ever made has the serial number 18. It was modified by using 6550/KT88 tubes instead of the AD140’s 4 x 6L6, and the AD200B Mk 1 featured an upgraded transformer.

Launched in 2002, the AD200B Mk 2  was designed to give more preamp gain than the Mk1 and featuring negative feedback circuitry. Front panel cosmetics are the same as for the Mk1 – namely the rectangular orange border.

Due to huge demand, in 2003 a production-line PCB version of this modern day classic bass amp was introduced – the AD200B Mk 3. The front panel cosmetics for the Mk3 were changed to the classic orange/black horizontal bar with hieroglyphs.
