Lawrie is based in Tamworth, New South Wales and has been a professional musician in Australia for more than thirty years.

 

He plays Guitar, Dobro, Banjo, Harmonica and Pedal Steel guitar. Lawrie has recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in the music business including Jimmy Barnes, Ross Wilson, Slim Dusty, Lee Kernaghan and US superstar Tricia Yearwood.

 

 

 

He has released five albums and has won a total of four Golden Guitars. He has won Instrumental of the Year category three times. He has been a member of Lee Kernaghan’s band for the past 16 years and has recently played support on the Alan Jackson tour with rising star Jasmine Rae.

 

Lawrie builds custom guitar effects pedals in his spare time and is also a talented songwriter. Scars, co-written with Matt Scullion and Lee Kernaghan has recently been recorded by Lee Kernaghan and features a duet with US country star Dierks Bentley.
