The Rocket Dolls, a Brighton-based young hard rocking trio, blasted straight into the upper echelons of the rock stratosphere with the release of their explosive debut four track EP, ‘Frame’ in January 2010.

‘Frame’, recorded in the Levellers’ studio and mastered by Ace of Skunk Anansie, contains four dynamic ‘Post-Grunge Riff-Metal’ anthems which charge out of the speakers at you with massive musical might.

Reviewing ’Frame’, Devolution Magazine’s Nickie Hobbs raved ‘It’s angst ridden, full of beans and complete with fist-pumping melodies but in a totally non- cliché way…If it’s loud, anthem crammed, riot and fun induced tracks that will make you want to reconnect with a love of all things grunge and rock and roll then you need to check out The Rocket Dolls.’

The Rocket Dolls comprise the charismatic, magnetic, Nikki Smash on vocals and guitar, rock steady Phil Ryland on bass and powerhouse sticksman Ben Knopfler on drums.

The Rocket Dolls, three young, professionally trained, highly capable musicians, met while studying music at Brighton’s BIM and then quit their jobs as soon as they had formed this well oiled rock machine at the beginning of 2008.

Nikki Smash, (pictured left) who studied at the Guitar Institute in London, is a natural born front man who spits fire with his vocals and venom with his guitar licks.

Ben Knopfler grew up in a musical family, surrounded by ranks of guitars, but chose instead to go down a drumming path, rather than follow in his father Mark’s melodious footsteps.

Phil Ryland has recently replaced Steve Golder on bass.
